US Ambassador to Great Britain Jane Hartley warns that Russia will not stop if it wins the war in Ukraine. It is reported Sky News.
At the same time, the ambassador is "optimistic" that the US will allocate more funds for Ukraine, but "anyone who thinks that Russia can stop after that, I think is wrong."
"I was the ambassador [to France and Monaco] in 2014 and saw what happened in Crimea. I don't know why anyone would say, "Oh, that's all for Russia." Democracy, I think, is at stake. Therefore, we must support Ukraine." - she emphasized.
Hartley added that "these are difficult days" after being asked if she was experiencing an atmosphere "almost comparable" to that last seen before the Second World War.
"We want to do everything possible to ensure that Ukraine remains a strong democracy and that Russia loses this war," — the ambassador said.
