Regular units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not intend to enter the territory of Russia. The participants in the events in the Belgorod region are Russian patriots who want to change the political regime in their state, said Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Malyar.
"We do not wage war on foreign territories. We have repeatedly proved it and we say it. And, actually, the way the Ukrainian army conducts war, we show our civilization. We are liberating our territories within the limits recognized in 1991," - she said.
Malyar noted that the section of the border with the Belgorod region is very dangerous for the Ukrainian military, and the situation that has developed there is a predictable internal Russian crisis.
"These are patriots of Russia, as far as we understand. People who actually rebelled against Putin's regime. Because what Putin is doing with the Russian Federation by waging war with us causes dissatisfaction among all conscious Russians. And the fact that it is shameful for them to get their passports now, that they are ashamed to show the world that they are citizens of Russia, sooner or later should have led to exactly what is happening in Belgorod Oblast." - said the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
According to Malyar, discontent was brewing among Russian citizens even before the full-scale invasion, because Putin pays more attention to the militarization of the state than to its development.
"This is such an internal Russian crisis that was foreseen. These are conscious patriots of Russia who want to change the political regime." - she noted.
The official added that most Russians will later feel guilt and shame for supporting the war against our country.
