French President Emmanuel Macron said that the time has come for Ukraine's allies to step up, stressing that now is not the time to show cowardice. It is reported Reuters.
"We are certainly approaching the moment when it will be appropriate not to be a coward in our Europe." he declared.
Referring to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Macron said that France and the Czech Republic "understand very well that the war continues again on our land (in Europe, ed.), that some states that have become unstoppable are increasing their threat every day attack on us, and that we will have to live up to history and the courage it demands.”
Macron faced backlash from many Western allies after he openly discussed the idea of sending Western troops to Ukraine at a conference on Ukraine in Paris on February 26.
