The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine met with his Norwegian counterpart Bart Eide. According to the results of the negotiations, Dmytro Kuleba reported that the main topic was air defense systems.
As the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs noted, the Norwegian NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems have proven themselves well in Ukraine during the resistance to Russian aggression.
"And we are grateful for the fact that the Norwegian government is making more efforts so that Ukraine has more such systems. But the Norwegian government also provides tools and opportunities to get PATRIOT systems from other countries, and we also discussed this topic in detail today." Kuleba said.
At the same time, the Norwegian Foreign Minister noted that their country is currently discussing with other partners the further possibilities of providing Ukraine with a larger number of PATRIOT systems.
"Because air defense is very important to protect the economy, energy infrastructure, the population and to maintain morale. Of course, to win only by air defense means, this is not enough. But this is a very important component" — emphasized Eide.
