China supports holding an international peace conference on Ukraine. But Beijing wants Russia to take part as well. About this said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi after a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Wang Yi stated that China adheres to the peace plan proposed earlier regarding the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine.
He added that Beijing hopes for an early ceasefire and an end to the war.
The Chinese minister also added that China supports the convening of an international conference recognized by both Russia and Ukraine, "with equal participation of all parties and an honest discussion of all peace options."
