From the beginning of May, the amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Executive Proceedings" began to take effect, which allow the seizure of payment cards and current accounts and the debiting of funds from them to repay the debt.
The legislation simplified the procedure for collecting debts for communal services as much as possible. After submitting an application to the court and rendering a court decision, only 5 days pass. At the same time, the presence of the debtor himself at the meeting is not mandatory.
Under the conditions when consumers' debt to "Infoksvodokanal" exceeded an astronomical 450 million hryvnias, the company's lawyers use all the opportunities provided by the law so that the debt does not become an obstacle to the city's stable water supply during wartime.
