The higher anti-corruption court released on personal recognizance the acting head of the State Reserve Agency of Ukraine, Dmytro Babak, whom NABU and SAP suspect of organizing a criminal group. This group, under his leadership, as note in NABU, took possession of state lands near Kyiv with an area of over 1200 hectares worth over UAH 1,8 billion. Such a decision was made by VAX on August 23.

The NABU detective and the SAP prosecutor asked to send Babak under house arrest. However, the court refused to do so.

He was also assigned the following duties: to arrive at the first call; not to leave Kyiv region without permission; to report a change of residence and work; refrain from communication with suspects in this criminal proceeding, as well as witnesses, and hand over your foreign passport to the State Migration Service. The term of office is until October 15, 2023.

According to the website of the Judiciary, the SAP prosecutor filed a complaint against this decision.

It should be recalled, NABU and SAP reported the suspicion to five persons, including the head of the State Reserve Dmytro Babak. According to the investigation, in 2018-2019, these individuals took over almost 920 hectares of state land in Fastov, Kyiv region, and about 284 hectares of state-owned enterprise "Pushka-Vodytsia" near the city of Kyiv. Within this case, the court has already taken two defendants into custody.
