Estonia transferred field hospitals to Ukraine

Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur visited Ukraine and announced a new package of military aid to be given to the Special Operations Forces. The new military aid package includes weapons and military equipment, reported on the official website of the Ministry of Defense of Estonia.

"The package handed over to Ukraine includes assault rifles, pistols, unmanned aerial vehicles, thermal imagers, generators and chargers, as well as clothing," the Estonian Ministry of Defense said in a statement on the department's website on Sunday.

In cooperation with Germany, Estonia handed Ukraine two field hospitals and medicines worth about 15 million euros. Estonia is transferring the third field hospital to Ukraine in cooperation with the Netherlands and Norway, which supported the project in the amount of 7,8 million euros. Pevkur handed Defense Minister Reznikov a symbolic key to it. The third hospital will arrive in Ukraine in the coming weeks.

In total, Estonia provided military aid to Ukraine in the amount of almost 400 million euros or more than 1% of GDP. Previously, as noted in the message of the Ministry of Defense of the country, Estonia transferred, for example, missiles of the Javelin anti-tank missile complex, howitzers, anti-tank mines, anti-tank grenade launchers, mortars, vehicles, communication equipment, medical supplies, personal protective equipment (helmets, etc.), and also dry rations.
