Johnson came to Kyiv on Independence Day and received an order from Zelenskyi

Despite the threat of missile strikes, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson came to Kyiv on Ukraine's Independence Day.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, said that he is happy to welcome Boris Johnson, a great friend of Ukraine, on Independence Day.

"Boris, thank you for the uncompromising support of our country from the first days of full-scale Russian aggression, for steadfastly defending the interests of Ukraine on the international arena! Our country is lucky to have such a friend!", the head of state wrote on social networks.

Boris Johnson wrote on Twitter that he is in Kyiv.

"What is happening now in Ukraine is important for all of us. That is why I am in Kyiv today. That is why Great Britain will continue to support our Ukrainian friends. I believe that Ukraine can and will win this war," he said.

Results of Volodymyr Zelenskyi's meeting with Boris Johnson:

✓The President of Ukraine presented the Order of Freedom to the Prime Minister of Great Britain.

✓"We will heal your country from the scars of this nightmarish war. We will really make this country a flower," Johnson said.

✓Britain will continue to help Ukraine and strengthen sanctions against the Russian Federation.

In addition, Boris Johnson's name appeared on the Alley of Courage in Kyiv.
