Microsoft stops supporting the Internet Explorer browser - it is outdated

Instead of Internet Explorer, the company will support and develop the Microsoft Edge browser.

Microsoft Corporation will end support for Internet Explorer 15 on June 2022, 11. This is reported on the company's official website.

Instead of Internet Explorer, the company will support and develop the more modern Microsoft Edge browser, released in 2015 at the same time as the first version of Windows 10.

Since the launch of the new browser, Internet Explorer has continued to work in the OS system to ensure the compatibility of corporate applications, but now Microsoft has decided to abandon its support.

To switch to a new browser, Microsoft suggests using Edge with Internet Explorer mode, which uses a module from IE11 to open outdated sites. Internet Explorer mode in Edge will be supported at least until 2029.

Microsoft notes that it will continue to support Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 10 LTSC, and Server Internet Explorer 11 platform applications will also remain available.
