According to one of the authors of the research, Ilena Khirskyi-Douglas from the University of Glasgow, such technology allows you to monitor your pet, call it and even feed it. According to the research diary, during the 16 days of the experiment, Zak called the hostess several times, sometimes by accident. The pet did not always respond to the hostess picking up the phone. Zack could just "mind his own business" while the girl looked at him.
The scientist believes that technology can benefit pets who miss their owners.
