On Friday, November 6, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine introduced fines for not wearing masks in public places. The amount of the fine will be from 10 to 15 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens (170-255 hryvnias).
The deputies made the corresponding decision at the regular plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada.
For draft law No. 3891 on amendments to the Code of Ukraine on administrative offenses related to the prevention of the spread of the coronavirus disease Covid-19, which includes fines for staying in public buildings, structures, public transport during quarantine without wearing personal protective equipment, including respirators or protective masks covering the nose and mouth, including self-made ones, were voted by 262 people's deputies. The amount of the fine will be from ten to fifteen tax-free minimum incomes of citizens (170-255 hryvnias).
Thus, Ukrainians can be fined for not wearing a medical mask in a public place.
