An unknown variant of the coronavirus was recorded on the territory of the Odessa region. This was reported by the chief sanitary doctor of the region, Vitaliy Goncharov.
So, doctors assume that it is probably an "Indian" strain with a double mutation, which is particularly infectious. However, the type of virus will become known after the results of research in the Kyiv reference laboratory.
Goncharenko noted that the "Indian" variant of COVID-19 is extremely dangerous for children and youth. Known symptoms of infection are vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, hearing impairment, cough, rashes on the skin and in the mouth.
We will remind you that earlier the first case of the "Indian" strain of the coronavirus was discovered in Poland. The infection was confirmed in a diplomat who was evacuated from India.
As reported, cases of infection with the "Indian" variant of the coronavirus were also recorded in Romania (one person), Israel (41 infected) and France (one case).
