As of Saturday, October 16, there are no "covid" beds left in Odessa hospitals. Sick citizens are hospitalized in medical institutions of the region: Ovidiopol, Belyaevka, Chernomorsk.
Ekaterina Nozhevnikova, the head of the "Corporation of Monsters" charitable foundation, Honorary Citizen of the Odesa Region, announced this on her Facebook page.
"Congratulations. There are no places in the city. The ambulance takes 4-5 hours. The doctors will just go to bed soon. Hardly in the morning, three patients with a critical situation have already been hospitalized. They simply would not have been brought to the region," the volunteer wrote.
According to her, it is almost impossible to open new departments, because there is simply no one to work there.
"There is not enough staff in the covid-1 departments. 2-50 nurses for 60-XNUMX patients. It is impossible to endure and it is impossible to provide full assistance," Nozhevnikova said.
Moreover, according to Nozhevnikova, there are many children among patients with COVID-19.
"There are already 70 patients in the covid department of the children's hospital. There are even children on oxygen. We already have patients in their 20s, and many in their 30s and 40s. There is already trouble in the city," she wrote.
Nozhevnikova added that "by vaccinating the risk group, we will reduce the burden on the system and enable doctors to provide quality care to the sick."
Meanwhile, before the introduction of the "red" zone in the city, a real commotion was observed in the centers of mass vaccination. Large queues of those wishing to be vaccinated formed in front of the checkpoints.
