Ukraine introduces the requirement of a negative PCR test for entering the country

The certificate will contain information in English and the official language of the country that issued it, and will be free of charge.

Ukraine plans to make a negative PCR test for coronavirus a condition of entry into the country. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Health, Maksym Stepanov, during question time to the government in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday.

According to him, the Ministry of Health has already submitted for the government's consideration amendments to the decree providing for the introduction of such a requirement.

"I am sure that at the next meeting of the government, this issue will be considered, and all citizens of other countries entering Ukraine, regardless of the level of disease in their countries, will have to provide a certificate that no more than 48 hours ago they took a PCR test and have a negative (result)," Stepanov said.

Let us remind you that the EU, in turn, is preparing "vaccination passports" to facilitate free movement. This "passport" should become a standardized document containing proof of vaccination against the coronavirus, or a negative test (PCR or rapid antigen test), or proof that a person has contracted COVID-19.

The certificate will contain information in English and the official language of the country that issued it, and will be free of charge.
