Patriarch Filaret of Kyiv and All Russia-Ukraine received a negative result of a test for COVID-19, which indicates that the coronavirus has been overcome. This was reported in the press service of the Kyiv Patriarchate.
Filaret feels well, has been discharged from the hospital and is at his residence. He thanked everyone who prayed for him during his illness, and also expressed his deep gratitude to the doctors and medical personnel who, risking their own health, are next to the sick.
"In the near future, Filaret will continue to work for the good of the church, perform his duties as the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate and will perform divine services," the patriarchy said in a statement.
Let us remind you that Filaret is 91 years old, he was diagnosed with coronavirus on September 4.
