Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko expects that in Ukraine soon they will be able to vaccinate children from the age of 5, and more than 12 teenagers from the age of 40 have already been vaccinated.
"We allowed children from the age of 19 to be vaccinated against COVID-12. Already more than 40 thousand children used this opportunity. In some countries of the world, they have already begun to vaccinate children over the age of five, and I think that the vaccine manufacturer here will quickly register the changes in the instructions, bring the appropriate drugs, and this can also be done. But today we do not prioritize mass vaccination of children, as we are targeting risk groups - older people, the elderly are a priority for us," said Lyashko.
Let us remind you that since the fall of 2021, when the "Delta" strain of the coronavirus spread in Ukraine, more children have become sick with Covid-19 than in 2020.
The USA, Israel, Canada and Spain and other countries of the world approved the vaccination of children from the age of 5 and began to give vaccinations.
