Over the past day, 1 new cases of coronavirus have been laboratory-confirmed in the Odesa region, and 525 patients have died.
Meanwhile, 16 new cases of Covid-309, 19 deaths, have been recorded in Ukraine.
According to the Ministry of Health, Kharkiv (1526), Odesa (1525), and Dnipropetrovsk (1344) regions are among the leaders in the number of patients.
As a reminder, yesterday the director of regional health, Natalya Odariy-Zakharyeva, said that in the next few days, Odesa Oblast will enter the "red" zone.
"Today we have 72% occupancy of beds. This indicates that we have a red zone in the coming days," noted Natalya Odariy-Zakharyeva.
It should be noted that in the case of a red zone, it will be prohibited to visit public catering establishments, cinemas, gyms and educational institutions, except for kindergartens and junior classes, in the Odessa region. However, if all employees and visitors are vaccinated, the establishments will be allowed to operate. Employees of all institutions were given a month to get vaccinated.
"If in a month the employees of the specified organizations do not get vaccinated against Covid-19, they will be suspended from work without salary for the period of quarantine," the official added.
Meanwhile, about 20% of Odessa residents have been vaccinated in the city, and more than a hundred schools in the region have gone into remote control, mostly due to the refusal of teachers to be vaccinated.
