Odesa Oblast yesterday became the leader in Ukraine in the number of deaths from the coronavirus - 33 fatal cases were registered.

This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Health.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko reported that the current wave of coronavirus in Ukraine began earlier than predicted by the Ministry of Health.

"We thought that there would be a repeat of the situation in autumn 2020 and spring 2021. But now we see that the Chernivtsi region, which was the first to "catch up" in the new wave, has already stabilized. But the eastern and southern regions are increasing," the minister explained.

Note that 11 people were vaccinated in Odessa this weekend. This is 732% more vaccinations than last weekend.
