In Ukraine, for the first time in three months, there were more discharges from hospitals than hospitalizations. This is the first positive signal that the peak of the incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine is passing. Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko reported this today.

He noted that over the past week, 6% fewer new cases of coronavirus have been recorded than last week.

"Over the past week, the number of hospitalizations in "covid" hospitals decreased by 13%. For the first time in the last three months, the average daily number of discharges from "pox" hospitals prevails over the number of hospitalizations. On average, 7% fewer patients are admitted to hospitals than discharged," Lyashko notes.

In his opinion, in order for this trend to persist further, it is necessary to continue to increase the pace of vaccination.

So, over the past week, about 1 million 600 thousand were made in Ukraine. vaccination against COVID-19. Overall, 39,4% of Ukrainians received the first dose of the vaccine, 28% of the population completed the vaccination course.

Note that 10 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Ukraine over the past 802 hours. During the day, 19 people died from COVID-442, 11 patients recovered. Also, 219 people were hospitalized in the past day.

In the Odesa region, according to new cases, 901 infected people, 79 patients died.

Meanwhile, the Odesa region is in second place in terms of new cases identified and in first place in terms of mortality.
