The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, speaking in the Council during the meeting on November 17, said that the weekend quarantine made it possible to reduce the activity of citizens in big cities by 18% on Saturday and by 27% on Sunday.
"We see this decrease according to the data of mobile operators... If you and I do not ensure the weekend quarantine, then we will cross the threshold of 20 patients in two weeks," the prime minister said.
According to Shmyhal, an alternative to a weekend quarantine is a full lockdown for three weeks. He also reported that the goal of the weekend quarantine is to reach a "plateau" of 12-13 patients per day.
