Oleksandr Kovalenko on the effect of "partial" mobilization of Russia

In September 2022, a partial mobilization was launched in Russia, as a result of which hundreds of thousands of completely unfit human masses were conscripted into the occupying army, for the preparation of which sometimes not even 2 weeks were allocated. Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military-political analyst of the Information Resistance group, told how it affected the situation at the front and what it will lead to in the future.

— The command of the ROV (Russian occupation forces) aimed to solve the problem of shortage of personnel due to significant losses and to plug the main holes on the front as soon as possible, having achieved tactical successes. But in reality, everything did not go as planned.

The result of partial mobilization was the appearance in the Russian army of a large number of unprofessional and low-quality human resources, which by itself did not solve the problems at the front, but only intensified them, being a catalyst for degradation processes in the Russian army.

Currently, the Russian army is experiencing critical problems with the organization of combat in all areas. This is due to the fact that 80% of battalion/platoon commanders do not have, attention, even theoretical knowledge, not to mention real experience in organizing an offensive.

When organizing offensive or assault processes, practical training is not carried out and basic things such as the front and depth of the combat mission, the duration of the offensive, the morale and psychological state of the personnel and their training are not taken into account.

Again, all this is due to the lack of professional officers in the divisions of the ROV, from the lower to the middle ranks.

As a result, for the most part, the management of commanders during the battle is not carried out, or is at a low quality level.

Therefore, units of the ROV often act in a pattern, carrying out the same tactical actions, without maneuvers by units and fire, not having a clear sequence of actions of the elements of the battle order and their changes during the execution of the combat mission.

In fact, in most offensives of the Russians, there is no interaction between units.

In particular, fire support units do not always, and often very rarely, interact with military and special intelligence agencies, engineering units, EW units, UAVs, etc. This leads to a decrease in the effectiveness of fire damage.

Also, the lack of professional personnel in the ranks of artillery units leads to an increase in the number of shots spent, which does not meet the established norms, rules of shooting and fire control. In the case of a shortage of shells, this is a critical phenomenon.

Likewise, the low level of experience of the Russian military leads to the use by artillery units of means of fire defeat that are not suitable for causing significant damage to the affected object. This, in turn, leads to a senseless waste of BC, as well as the discovery of a position and even its loss.

In fact, the Russian army is now saturated with such an unprofessional component that in the next few years, it will not be possible to somehow restore the officer and quality resource in the troops who have at least basic knowledge. Taking into account the trends, the situation will worsen.
