Warren Buffett called Bitcoin a "gaming token"

Bitcoin has no intrinsic value, but that doesn't stop people from wanting to play roulette. This was stated by the chairman of Berkshire Hathaway and billionaire investor Warren Buffett in an interview with CNBC.

Buffett noted that the human desire to find "easy money" is inherent in his nature.
The billionaire is known for his criticism of Bitcoin. In February 2020, he called the first cryptocurrency "absolute zero", which has no value. In May 2022, he stated that he would give up the hypothetical opportunity to buy all bitcoins for $25.

Previously, Buffett predicted the collapse of the crypto industry. When talking about digital gold, he used terms like "rat poison squared" and "an illusion with no unique value."

Buffett's associate, Berkshire Hathaway Vice Chairman Charles Munger shares similar views.

In 2022, a top executive called cryptocurrencies "an investment in nothing" and drew a parallel between digital assets and a "venereal disease." He has previously compared Tesla and Bitcoin to "a roach and a flea" and cast doubt on digital gold's ability to "become the world's means of payment."

It will be recalled that in February 2023, Munger proposed to follow the example of China and ban cryptocurrencies in the USA.
