Deputy Minister of Justice Elena Vysotskaya said that the ministry will create a separate prison for "thieves in law" next year. Thus, they will be isolated from other prisoners and will not be able to influence the situation in the colonies, including the administration.
Moreover, there will be very high security requirements. Convicts will be in isolated cells, not in common barracks, as in a colony.
"Now we are working on creating at least one or two institutions with such a special status in Ukraine. It is necessary to work on the emotional and psychological state of the employees of such colonies, to prepare them to work with such entities... We expect to be ready to receive the first convicts under the "thief" article next year," said the deputy minister.
Let us remind you that a special decision of the National Security Council was adopted in Ukraine, which imposed sanctions on all existing "thieves in law". After that dozens of them were deported from Ukraine, millions of dollars were seized.
