In Ukraine, not one of the 34 "thieves in law" remained, and 42 of the 111 criminal authorities remained, recorded at the beginning of the year, said the secretary of the Council of National Security and Defense of Ukraine, Aleksey Danilov.
The secretary of the National Security Council reported on the report of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, on the implementation of the decision of the National Security Council of May 14, 2021 regarding sanctions against "thieves in law" and "criminal authorities".
"Since the beginning of the year, there were 34 people on the territory of Ukraine who had the status of "thieves in law", today we have zero such people. After the decision of the National Security Council, there were 17 of them, today there is not a single criminal who is under these attributes in our country.
We had 111 "criminal authorities" who were on the territory of Ukraine and came under our sanctions. To date, 111 of the 42 remain, in respect of whom the procedure of deportation from our country continues today, 36 have already gone to the place of their choice, and 33 are under investigation.
The minister believes that in the near future they will finish with these 42 — we will also have 0 here.
