Currently, more than a million soldiers are protecting Ukraine on the military front, the rest of the Ukrainians are actively working for victory in the rear. But no matter what positive changes are taking place in our country, and no matter how developed and democratic our society is, there are situations that require unity and prompt decision-making to correct them. In particular, when it comes to the legal protection of our military.
For convenient resolution of legal issues and support of military personnel and their family members, on April 16, 2022, on the initiative of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny, the volunteer movement "Lawyers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" was created.
Thanks to the work of the project, every serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a member of TrO or DFTG, as well as members of their families, can receive legal protection free of charge on any issues, for example:
- military service;
- granting/receiving status and receiving benefits in accordance with status;
- violation of rights and interests;
- drawing up individual legal documents (applications, complaints, reports, requests, appeals, etc.).
In all these cases, the military needs a competent specialist who can provide advice, help in drafting official documents (applications, reports, etc.) and form the appropriate package of necessary attachments.
The initiative was launched in April 2022. As of February 2023, it has already united more than 400 volunteer lawyers to provide legal protection. More than 9000 requests received from military personnel have already been processed.

Site visitors have the opportunity to use the "Precedent" search system for free, and on the occasion of the first anniversary of the "Lawyers of the Armed Forces" project, a new stage of its development began - integration with the "People's Advocate" legal ecosystem.
"People's Advocate" is an it-project that aims to digitize jurisprudence and create a rule of law by popularizing legal services among the population and easy and convenient access to them.
The project united caring Ukrainians for the sake of a common future. The ecosystem attracted a thousand volunteer lawyers to the volunteer movement, within the framework of which more than 40.000 free legal consultations were provided to Ukrainians using the platform since the beginning of the war. And now some of these lawyers have already joined the "Lawyers of the Armed Forces" project within the "People's Lawyer" ecosystem.
Currently, the "People's Advocate" ecosystem has implemented a full-fledged functionality for the participants of the "Lawyers of the Armed Forces" project. The plan is to involve even more lawyers, to tell every Ukrainian about the initiative, and after the victory to help in the investigation of war crimes, so that no occupier goes unpunished.
