In the Odesa region, displaced people will be housed in residential container houses that are quickly assembled. This was told by the head of the Odesa city organization "Batkivshchyna", doctor of technical sciences, professor Mykhailo Pozhivanov, who personally negotiated with the management of the Hungarian company "Continent" regarding the supply of such houses to Odesa.
This week, Mykhailo Pozhivanov visited a production facility in Hungary, where he got acquainted with the process of manufacturing and transporting these containers.
"At a meeting with the management of the Continest company, the issue of supply and joint financing of the purchase of containers for the displaced persons of the Odesa region was discussed in more detail. About 75% of the funds for the project have already been collected," he said.
The politician added that the development and production of Continest containers has been taking place in Hungary since 2017. They are easy and quick to install and convenient to transport - up to 6 units are placed on a standard truck, they are also environmentally friendly and safe to use.
"The first such containers for refugee families were delivered by the Continest company back in the spring to the Zakarpattia region and the city of Bucha in the Kyiv region. Currently, our "Native Bereg" Charitable Foundation is working to ensure that Odesa Oblast also receives such temporary housing," the politician summarized.
A meeting between Mykhailo Pozhivanov, Deputy Mayor of Odesa Serhii Tetyukhin and representative of the Sontines company Christian Dallos has already taken place at the Odesa City Hall.
As a result, preliminary agreements were reached on the purchase of such housing for forced migrants, and the leadership of the Odesa City Council took up the issues of finding a site for placing quick-disposable containers and arranging the infrastructure.
