Recently, the newly elected Minister of Defense of Ukraine Aleksey Reznikov and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny visited Odessa and visited military infrastructure facilities. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The delegation also included Deputy Head of the Office of the President Roman Mashovets and First Deputy Secretary of the National Security Council Ruslan Demchenko.
"Strengthening the fleet, creating the appropriate infrastructure is one of the priorities," the defense minister said.
The officials familiarized themselves with the work of the Diving School, inspected the Practical harbor and the restored building of the headquarters of the Navy Command.
The visitors also boarded the training sailing frigate Druzhba, which President Volodymyr Zelensky ordered to be repaired and handed over to the Institute of the Navy.
