"Participants of the scheme tried to hide the origin of this oil by transferring it from one vessel to another, falsifying documents and taking other measures, as well as by providing fake transport bills with the aim of misleading the owners of Achilleas in relation to the specified oil," the material said.
If the USA wins the case, they can direct oil revenues to the government fund to help victims of terrorism.
Note that in the USA, former President Donald Trump imposed sanctions against Iran, which hit the export of Iranian oil. Its production in the country has almost halved since the middle of 2018.
