People's deputies increased responsibility for violation of fire safety rules

The Ecclesiastical Council adopted in the second reading a draft law on stricter liability for violation of fire safety rules

Today, February 3, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the second reading a draft law on stricter liability for violation of fire safety rules.

3755 People's Deputies voted for the corresponding draft of Law No. 315. 

The document provides for amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and Laws of Ukraine.

Violation of the requirements of regulations and regulatory documents on the technical operation of power plants and networks, energy equipment of entities of the electric power industry, entities of relations in the field of heat supply and consumers of electric energy will issue a warning or impose a fine: on citizens from 1 to 700 hryvnias, for officials from UAH 3 to UAH 400.

Violation of fire safety rules established on railway, sea and river transport will be punished with a fine: from 1 to 700 UAH for citizens, from 3 to 400 UAH for officials.

Violation of fire safety rules established for air transport will result in a fine of UAH 2-250 for citizens and UAH 4-250 for officials.

A fine of UAH 1 to UAH 700 for citizens and UAH 3 to UAH 400 for officials will be imposed for violation of the fire safety requirements established by the legislation, as well as the use of fire equipment and fire extinguishing means for non-designated purposes.

The start of the operation of newly formed enterprises or the start of the use of real estate objects by the business entity without a registered declaration of compliance of the material and technical base of the business entity with the requirements of the legislation in the field of fire safety, for which the provision of such a declaration is mandatory, will entail the imposition of a fine from UAH 1 to UAH 700.

Non-fulfillment of the legal requirements of officials of the central executive body implementing the state policy on issues of civil protection, supervision and control over the state of protection of territories against natural and man-made emergencies, on the development and implementation of measures in the sphere of protection of the population and territories against man-made and natural emergencies character, will entail a fine of UAH 850 to UAH 1 for citizens and UAH 700 to UAH 1 for officials.

The same actions, committed repeatedly within a year after the imposition of an administrative fine, will entail the imposition of a fine on citizens from 1 to 700 UAH and on officials from 3 to 400 UAH.
