Turkey launched the military operation "Sword-Claw" in northern Syria and Iraq

Turkish warplanes carried out a number of strikes on Kurdish bases in Syria and northern Iraq. As reported CNN Türk, a large column of military equipment of the Turkish armed forces also entered Syria.

Ankara positions the operation as a response to the terrorist attacks that took place in the country last week. According to the source, the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey announced the beginning of the "anti-terrorist air operation". The department announced the "time of reckoning" for the "treacherous attacks of scoundrels", noting that the strikes were carried out against the positions of the Kurds, whom Ankara recognizes as terrorists.

The Ministry of Defense of Turkey justified the military operation with Article 51 of the UN Charter. And they said that the operation is being carried out with the aim of "preventing terrorist attacks on our people from the north of Iraq and Syria."

"The first information is received that a comprehensive air operation was carried out. Two terrorist attacks took place in Turkey. All eyes were on Syria. To date, four operations have been carried out: "Euphrates Shield", "Olive Branch", "Source of the World" and "Source of the World" Operation "Spring Shield", the material says.

Aircraft have already attacked a number of bases in Syria: Ain al-Arab, Ain Dagne, Ain Jesus, Derbesi, Maranes, Malikiyya, Minig airport, Tel Rifat and Iraq: Asos, Sulaymaniyah, Singer, Qandil, Erbil.
