People's deputy of Ukraine, head of the "Batkivshchyna" party Yulia Tymoshenko arrived in Odesa region for a two-day visit.
Yesterday, November 19, the politician attended a fair to collect funds for an SUV for the Armed Forces, which was held in Zakharivska hromada and, together with the team, handed over humanitarian aid to the hospital and residents of the Oknyansk hromad of the region.
As Yulia Tymoshenko noted, our soldiers from Odesa, who came on vacation from the front on rotation, are looking for an opportunity to help their comrades who replaced them on the front line. "Thank you to our Odessa team for the charity fair in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine! According to its results, the Ukrainian army will become stronger by one more pickup truck! And our state will be one step closer to Victory!".
In turn, the head of the Odesa regional organization of the party, Oleg Radkovskiy, said that thanks to his colleague from the faction in the regional council, Andrii Babenko, who helped organize the fair in Zakharivska OTG, it was possible to raise UAH 195 for an SUV for one of the ZSU brigades.
In general, Yulia Tymoshenko's team has handed over two hundred cars to the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
In the Oknyan community, the politician visited the district hospital and handed over a humanitarian aid truck. Ihor Platon, the head doctor of the medical facility, said that the help received is very important today for the high-quality work of the hospital.
Tymoshenko's team also brought more than three hundred food kits for displaced people and the poor to the Oknya community. Oleg Radkovskyi, the head of "Batkivshchyna" Odesa Oblast, said that the humanitarian aid provided to the hospital and the residents of the community is not repeated, but is provided constantly throughout the region as part of the work of the "Odesa Hub Batkivshchyna" hub.
Yulia Tymoshenko also held a meeting in the community's House of Culture with deputies of local councils, heads of communities and residents of Oknyansk and neighboring communities.
The politician said that today it is necessary to prepare more thoroughly for the difficult situation that has arisen in Ukraine as a result of enemy attacks on critical infrastructure facilities, therefore her team has already developed and prepared a plan to save Ukraine's energy industry, which includes the following steps:
– Redistribution of air defense systems and consolidation of financial resources of the state for the purchase of additional necessary systems to protect the maximum number of energy infrastructure objects;
– Mobilization of construction companies of Ukraine, cement factories and creation of a special program for closing transformer substations with concrete structures;
- Receiving electricity from the European Union under the emergency assistance system, which is provided for in accordance with the documents of the unified energy society, of which Ukraine became a member on March 16, 2022;
- Allocation of necessary subventions to local self-government bodies for the construction of heating points and issuance of collective or individual interest-free, long-term loans to condominiums for the purchase of individual generating capacities.
"Today there were many questions from people - about the war, about pensions, about how we will survive the winter. People need an understanding of the real situation in the country, in energy, they need support, - said Mrs. Tymoshenko, - But I see the eyes of our people, and no one in the world today can call Ukrainians weak, we are strong, we are courageous, we are stable! We will deal with all disagreements and win!".
