The American television company HBO plans to release a series based on the adventures of the wizard Harry Potter.
This was reported by the Hollywood Reporter magazine.
According to the publication, now the company together with the franchise-owning film studio Warner Bros. looks for screenwriters and discusses with them ideas for a new TV series. However, the parties are only negotiating, no agreements have been concluded.
As the magazine notes, several circumstances can prevent the project from coming to life: Joan Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter books, must approve the idea of creating a series, and then the companies must negotiate with the media corporation NBCUniversal, which owns the contract for broadcasting films and various content related to Harry Potter .
