Zelensky suggested establishing the Paton and Skoryk state awards

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, addressed the Cabinet of Ministers with a proposal to establish two state awards: in the field of science - named after Boris Paton and in the field of art - named after Myroslav Skoryk.

This was reported in the press service of the guarantor.

- Today I sent the relevant letters to the government about the establishment of two prizes: for a significant contribution to the development of science and scientific achievements - the State Prize named after Boris Paton and for a significant contribution to the development of musical art - the State Prize named after Myroslav Skoryk, - he said during the celebrations on on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the mentioned persons were outstanding figures, geniuses of our time, who created our history and won glory for Ukraine in the world.

According to the Head of State, Myroslav Skoryk and Borys Paton are worthy of perpetuating their memory by establishing personal awards.

- Let's never forget. We have something to be proud of. Our country has many treasures, especially scientific ones. Our country has a rich history, especially the musical history of independence, - emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky.
