Another oil leak occurred from the sunken Delfi tanker. On September 4, the head of the State Environmental Inspection, Andrey Malyovany, reported this.
According to the results of laboratory studies, the maximum allowable concentration of petroleum products in water is exceeded by 5,8 times.
"In order to promptly remove the pollution, representatives of the Odesa branch of State Enterprise "AMPU" carried out urgent work with the use of a sorbent," Andrey Malyovany noted and added that the leakage of oil products occurred due to the continuation of work on raising and stabilizing the tanker.
In turn, according to eyewitnesses, spots on the water "swam away" from the notorious tanker and are approaching the "Dolphin" beach. The water is covered with a film.
Moreover, oil products are scooped up from the ship with buckets and poured into the water. At the same time, employees are chickens, which is dangerous.
