The other day, a modern canal-promoting car drove up on the streets of Odessa, which was purchased by the Infoksvodokanal branch as part of the renewal of the company's fleet. This was reported in the press service of the company.
A new car based on a Mercedes chassis, equipped with heavy-duty Italian and German pumps. The company's specialists note that the car was assembled by special order of "Infoksvodokanal" and has no analogues in Ukraine in terms of technical characteristics.
The new special equipment is intended for preventive maintenance and washing of sewer pipes, collectors with a diameter of 150 to 1000 mm, as well as emergency removal of blockages.
The equipment of the machine allows to work in a combined mode. Its essence is that clean water is pumped into the pipes under a pressure of about 230 bar, the powerful pressure of which literally sweeps the accumulated deposits and pollution from the walls of the collector, and then with the help of a vacuum pump it collects them like a vacuum cleaner. This kind of water pressure, for comparison, is quite enough to raise water up a mountain 2,3 km high.
The capacity of the car is about 409 liters per minute, and its tank holds 12 cubic meters (7 cubic meters of clean water and 5 cubic meters for pumping out sewage).
Control of the washing process is carried out with the help of a special remote control, and the work itself can be carried out in areas with a depth of up to 10 meters, taking into account the length of the hose of 120 m.
As noted in the press service of the Infoksvodokanal branch, the newest special equipment already on the first day of work made it possible to completely replace the manual labor of several crews, and moreover, it helped to eliminate blockages that were previously impossible to reach.
"Infoksvodokanal" promises further renewal of the car fleet. In particular, the purchase of a new lifting crane, mud pumps and an excavator is expected. And as always, the company gives preference to European and international manufacturers.
