On the eve of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine in the Odessa House of Officers, the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the region and representatives of the clergy congratulated the personnel of the military units of the Odessa garrison on their professional holiday.
The solemn event began with the performance of the national anthem of Ukraine and a welcome speech by the commander of the operational command "South" of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine, Major General Andriy Kovalchuk, who congratulated the servicemen on the holiday and presented awards to the servicemen.
The Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Rear Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, also spoke with congratulation.
On behalf of the Odesa regional administration, the chairman of OGA Sergey Hrynevetskyi congratulated the servicemen, and Oleg Radkovsky, the first deputy head of the Odesa regional council, conveyed greetings and wishes of peace to our country from the entire deputy corps of the oblast council.
In addition, Radkovsky presented certificates of the Odesa Regional Council to the best servicemen of the region.
After the official part of the event, the concert program of the center of military musical art of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began.
