Late in the evening of May 7, the enemy carried out a series of missile strikes on the Odesa region: infrastructure objects were damaged, there were wounded and a dead person.
A massive strike by 8 Kh-22 cruise missiles was carried out in the region, the Operational Command "South" reported.
According information OK "Pivden", Odeshchya was attacked around midnight from Tu-22m3 long-range bombers. A total of eight launches were carried out from the area of Cape Tarkhankut in the occupied Crimea. Some of the missiles did not reach their targets.
Odesa, Odesa and Bilhorod-Dniester districts were attacked.
In particular, as a result of the missile attack on Odessa, infrastructure facilities on the Black Sea coast and a large warehouse with humanitarian aid, which belonged to Red Cross, reported in the press service of the institution.

According to Natalia Gumenyuk, spokeswoman for the "South" Operational Command, a civilian who worked there as a security guard on the night shift was killed as a result of shelling of the warehouse. His body was recovered from the rubble on the morning of May 8. Two more guards were injured.
Thus, as of May 8, 2023, as a result of rocket attacks in Odesa, 14 civilians were killed: eight (including a three-month-old girl) — in the "Tiras" housing complex on April 23, 2022; 1 teenager during the attack on the dormitory on May 2; 1 employee of the warehouse during the attack on the Suvorovsky district of Odessa on May 9 and a security guard of the warehouse in the Kyiv district of Odessa, who died on June 20, 2022.
Pensioner Volodymyr Tsybriy, who worked as a security guard at the enterprise, also died during the attack on oil storage facilities in Odesa. On September 23, 2022, a woman died in the administration building of the Odesa port after Iranian kamikaze drones hit it. Today's victim became the fourteenth victim among peaceful residents of Odessa.
At the same time, this figure is not final, because a number of Odesa residents died from rocket fire in other settlements, where they were on family or work matters. As examples, we can cite strikes on a high-rise building in Dnipro on January 14, on recreation centers in Serhiivka on July 1, and other tragic incidents.
