The Equality March in the center of Kyiv on September 19 passed without disturbing public order. This was reported in the communication department of the capital police.
The organizers said that seven thousand people took part in the action in support of LGBT rights.
According to the mass media, the event was attended by the ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine Tobias Tyberg, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the faction "Voice" Inna Sovsun and deputy of the Kyiv Council from the faction "Servant of the People" Yevheniya Kuleba.
The safety of citizens was ensured by employees of all structural subdivisions, including dialogue police, dog and explosives specialists, employees of the State Emergency Service, and National Guard soldiers.
The events went off without a hitch, all planned actions were completed. The police continue to ensure public safety and order on the streets of Kyiv.
