Yesterday, during anti-terrorist exercises, on the outskirts of the city, the Odessa military shot down a brand new DJI Matrice 300 RTK multicopter of law enforcement officers. Ego police bought themselves a month ago, on October 25.
The police decided to test the drone in a very unfortunate place - near the army warehouses with fuel. Specialists from Kyiv were invited for the launch.
But ten minutes after start-up, the device stopped connecting. While the police were looking for the copter, the military police received a signal about an unidentified aircraft flying over warehouses.
In a short period of time, the military shot down a police copter. The device was shot with a bullet from a Kalashnikov assault rifle.
Soon the military handed over the remains of the device to the police.
Note that the diagonal size of the downed drone is almost 90 cm, the maximum take-off weight is 9 kg, the maximum speed is 23 m/s, the maximum flight height is 5 km above sea level, and the maximum flight time is 55 minutes.
The device was equipped with a satellite positioning system, a system of infrared sensors, a thermal imager, a zoom camera, a camera with a wide-angle lens and a laser rangefinder.
