During his address to the International Security Forum in Halifax (Canada), the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, opposed the conclusion of a short-term truce with Russia.
"Just the end of the war does not guarantee peace. Russia is now looking for a short-term truce - a break to regain strength," he said.
He noted that the pause will only worsen the situation.
"A real long-term and honest world can only be the result of the complete dismantling of all elements of Russian aggression," the president said.
