On November 18, the Political Assembly of the European People's Party, during its meeting in Lisbon, unanimously adopted the Extraordinary Resolution of the EPP PA in support of recognizing Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.
Deputy Chairman of the Batkivshchyna party, first deputy chairman of the VRU Committee on Foreign Policy Hryhoriy Nemyrya was able to convince our European political family. Yes, the European People's Party made extremely important for Ukraine amendments to this resolution.
Two amendments proposed by Hryhoriy Nemyrei were unanimously supported. In particular, the amendment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine within internationally recognized borders, including Crimea. There was also support for an amendment to provide Ukraine with the necessary types of weapons as soon as possible, including modern anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense systems, fighter jets, weapons to strengthen counteroffensive capabilities by providing modern tanks, long-range artillery and MLRS systems, and strengthening the training of Ukrainian soldiers.
The resolution also includes a call to declare Putin's regime a terrorist.
Each such step brings us closer to the joint victory of the free world over Putin's regime!
