In Ukraine, for the first time, a People's Deputy of Ukraine was informed about the suspicion of absentee voting. This is the first case in practice that has led to liability for "key coding".

The prosecutor's office reported that the People's Deputy of Ukraine was duly summoned to the Prosecutor General's Office on February 11, 2021, to hand over a notice of suspicion, however, he did not appear and did not report the reasons for his absence.
"In connection with this, in accordance with the procedure provided for by the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine, a written notification of suspicion for review and delivery has been sent to the Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, at the place of residence, to an electronic mailbox and to other known parties of the accusation by means of communication," added the Office Prosecutor General
Currently, measures are being taken to complete the investigation and send the indictment to the court. In case of proof of guilt, the people's deputy faces punishment in the form of a fine from 3000 to 5000 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens.
"Procedural guidance in criminal proceedings is carried out by prosecutors of the General Prosecutor's Office, pre-trial investigation by investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the State Bureau of Investigation," the message added.
The name of the people's deputy is not announced.
