Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates signed memoranda and contracts worth 3 billion dollars.

Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates signed memoranda and contracts worth 3 billion dollars.

"As part of the official visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi to the United Arab Emirates, the Ukrainian delegation signed a number of memorandums and contracts for a total of $3 billion," the message says.

In particular, memorandums of understanding were signed between the State Property Fund of Ukraine and the Mubadala investment fund. They are aimed at deepening cooperation in the framework of the development of promising investment projects and the participation of the Emirate in the program of privatization of state property in Ukraine.

"At all international meetings, I call to invest in Ukraine. Our state has huge potential: geopolitical position, natural resources, educated people. Now is the time to realize this potential and create a strong economy," Zelensky said.

He noted that attracting investments is the key to Ukraine's economic growth. "The signing of a memorandum with the Mubadala State Investment Fund of the Government of Abu Dhabi on the intention to invest in Ukraine is a very important step in opening the way for large-scale investments in Ukraine from Western Asia," the message said.

In addition, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine signed a memorandum with the INTELMAX Management Consulting company, which provides for cooperation on the creation of a platform for the exchange of intellectual property based on the Fantom blockchain, which will ensure increased security and transparency. It is also planned to introduce blockchain technology into government processes and services.

The parties also signed documents in the field of defense, within which, in particular, the possibility of building joint factories outside Ukraine was discussed.

In addition, a memorandum was signed in the agricultural sector, which provides for the creation of an agrohub and a trading company to ensure food security.

As the Office of the President informs, the possibility of opening a Ukrainian sovereign fund for joint investments is also being considered.

"Along with this, 18 Ukrainian private companies, including Interpipe, Dragon Capital, DTEK, Unit City, EastOne, UMG, Ufuture, Fortior, signed memoranda with the state investment fund Mubadala," the OP noted.
