The Russian Federation has driven out of all its fleets practically everything that has the readiness and potential of an invasion from the sea. This was reported by the Center for Defense Strategies.
Currently, 46 warships from all fleets of the Russian Federation are deployed in the Black and Azov Seas. As the experts reminded, under the guise of large-scale studies, the Kremlin organized an actual naval blockade of the Black Sea coast of Ukraine in the period from February 13 to 19 of this year.
Since the beginning of the year, there have been no ships from non-Black Sea NATO countries in the Black Sea, which, given the previous years, is an absolutely atypical situation.
At the same time, there is an unprecedented number of Russian forces in the Mediterranean Sea — 17 warships from all four fleets of the Russian Federation, including two missile cruisers and seven more missile ships of various types, including two missile submarines.
As the TSO explains, such an increase has not been observed since the collapse of the USSR. It is even envisaged to block a potentially possible measure of the US multipurpose aircraft carrier group in the Eastern Mediterranean. To do this, Moscow has concentrated missile cruisers of the "Atlant" class and the newest frigate with hypersonic missiles "Zirkon". In the Russian concept of gaining dominance in the far sea zone, these ships are called "carrier killers".
Let us remind you that the Russian Federation is evacuating diplomats from Ukraine. The decision to evacuate is to take care of Russian diplomats and employees of diplomatic missions, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. They will begin to be taken out soon.
