China's Special Representative for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui completed a two-day visit to Ukraine, during which he met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyi. About this reported The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China on Thursday, May 18.

It was noted that during these negotiations and meetings with the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba and the heads of relevant departments, Li Hui "explained China's position on the political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis."

"There is no panacea for getting out of the crisis, all parties need to start from themselves, build up mutual trust, create conditions for ending the war and peace negotiations," the message says.

It is emphasizedthat "China is ready to assist the international community in forming a common position on the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, to make its own efforts to end the war, cease fire and restore peace as soon as possible."

It should be recalled, on April 26, the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, had a telephone conversation with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi. After the conversation, it became known that China will send a special representative of the government for Eurasian affairs to visit Ukraine and other European countries for in-depth communication with all parties on the issue of political settlement of the "Ukrainian crisis".
