The Ministry of Defense of Armenia announced that on December 12, the Azerbaijani side resumed offensive military actions in the direction of the settlements of Stary Taglar - Khtsaberd in Nagorno-Karabakh. This is stated on Online of the Armenian Ministry.
"Divisions of the Karabakh Defense Army are taking adequate measures," the message says.
Earlier, the Karabakh Defense Army reported that the armed forces of Azerbaijan tried to attack one of the Armenian military positions in the southern direction. Three soldiers were allegedly wounded.
The Karabakh Defense Army also stated that it refutes the information spread in the Azerbaijani media about an armed provocation allegedly carried out by Armenian forces in the Hadrut area, as a result of which an Azerbaijani serviceman was wounded.
It will be recalled that on the night of November 10, a ceasefire was announced in Nagorno-Karabakh, which was agreed upon by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia.
In Armenia, the agreement was perceived as capitulation. According to the agreement, Azerbaijan and Armenia remain in their positions, and the "peacekeeping contingent" of the Russian Federation is deployed in the region.
After that, Turkey announced that it had agreed with Russia on joint monitoring of the observance of the regime of silence in Karabakh and announced the construction of a joint control center.
