Russian and Soviet actor Valentin Gaft died at the age of 86. This is reported by TASS.
The information about the artist's death was confirmed by his wife Olga Ostroumova. According to her, the cause of death was a stroke, after which the actor recovered for several years.
Hafta will be buried on December 15 at the Troekurovskoye cemetery on Actors' Alley.
Valentin Gaft was born in Moscow in 1935. At the age of 22, he graduated from the School-Studio of the Moscow Art Theater, after which he worked at the Theater named after the Moscow Soviet, "Lenkome", the Moscow Drama Theater and the Theater of Satire. Since 1969, Gaft served in Sovremennik. In 1984, he received the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR.
