Tomorrow, September 29, the Large Chamber of the Constitutional Court will consider the case on the constitutionality of the law on the land market at the request of a group of people's deputies, the press service of the court reports.
It takes about fifty people's deputies to recognize the law and the procedure for its adoption as unconstitutional.
The authors of the petitions state that the land as an object of property rights of the Ukrainian people is under the personal protection of the state — and this primarily concerns agricultural land. Parliamentarians are convinced that the law on the land market was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in violation of the constitutional procedure of consideration and adoption, and its provisions contradict the norms of the Constitution.
Also, people's deputies note that only the Ukrainian people have the right to make decisions about the disposal of such an object of property as land by means of an all-Ukrainian referendum.
As a reminder, in March, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the second reading the bill No. 2178-10 on the land market.
