The Navy of Ukraine plans to form three divisions of the coastal complex of cruise missiles "Neptune"

They will be placed in the southern regions with access to the coast of the Black and Azov seas

Next year, the Ukrainian Navy will form three divisions of the coastal complex of land-based cruise missiles ZK-360MC "Neptun". About this journalist ArmyInform said the commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Rear Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa.

"By order of the Ministry of Defense, the Navy adopted the shore-based missile complex "Neptune". Next year, we will form three divisions that will be armed with this complex. We plan to place these divisions in the southern regions of Ukraine, which have access to the coast of the Black and Azov seas. Moreover, immediately after their installation, we plan to put on combat duty one of the batteries of the "Neptune" complex, which will begin to perform the tasks as assigned," the rear admiral emphasized.

According to the head of the fleet, this missile weapon is very effective and highly accurate.

"At the time, while still holding the position of Deputy Commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, I was the chairman of the reception committee and personally supervised the launch of the Neptune anti-ship cruise missiles." This complex is a real breakthrough in the rocket industry of Ukraine. Very few countries in the world have the technological capacity to produce their own cruise missiles. I am very glad that Ukraine is in the cohort of those states that are capable of producing high-precision missile weapons. The "Neptune" complex demonstrated its combat capabilities well at the state tests that took place at the "Aliba" training ground. Missiles successfully hit several targets at the same time, while the distance to surface targets is different, as is the distance between these targets," Neizpapa said.

For example, the missiles destroyed the first target, which was at a distance of 85 km, and the second - up to 110 km. The distance between them was more than 20 kilometers. The tactical and technical characteristics of "Neptune" are really powerful, for example, the missile's launch range is up to 280 km. This is quite enough to effectively deter the enemy's aggressive actions at sea. In addition, the rocket's flight speed is up to 1000 km/h, while the rocket can independently change its flight path several times during movement. Each missile is equipped with a homing head, which has ultra-high viewing angles, is resistant to enemy radar interference, which is necessary for passing the radar systems of enemy ships.
